How to FTP Your Web Site

You now have web access to FTP to your sites from anywhere that has web access.

This is how you will submit your web site treatments and flow charts.

Your ftp access is now set-up for the domain:

http://www.husad.org/WebDev/2011/<your first initial and full last name (lower case)>

You can start administrating your website through Dreamweaver or any other FTP client:

To gain ftp access to your site, you need to enter your username and password in the set-up page:

Username: <your first initial and last name>
(example: jsmith for Jane Smith)

Password: <your student ID starting with a “w” and the @ with your numbers>

To access your site through Dreamweaver’s FTP, use the following information:

STEP 1:
Field 1: What would you like to call your site?
Give your site a name like “MySite”.

Field 2: What is the HTTP address (URL) of your host site?
Enter: http://www.husad.org/WebDev/2011/<your first initial and full last name (lower case)>

STEP 2:
Do you want to work with server technology?

No.

STEP 3:
How do you want to work with your files during development?

Edit locally, then upload to remote testing server.

Field 1: Where on your computer do you want to store your files?
