Note about the critique…

Project Deadline/Critique.
Thursday, March 29, 2012

REMEMBER: Critiques in the Design program are equivalent to exams. Thus, missing a critique is equivalent to missing an exam and there is no way to make-up a missed critique that is unexcused.

The Critique is formal and will start at 4:45pm [Doors will be closed again at this time].
Prepare to be in class until 6:30pm.

Presentation of Online Ads:
For these projects, you will have to mount them on black advertising board. Don’t wait until the last minute to get your materials. (It would be a smart move to group up and purchase your materials together [spray mount adhesive, black advertising board, X-acto Knives and blades]) We will post the ads on the bulletin boards and address them in that fashion. As a team be prepared to discuss your projects:

  • The concept, idea and storyline or scenario behind your creative approaches in your ads;
  • Your experience with the assignment – pro’s and con’s;
  • You feelings about the outcome of the project – pros and cons. What went well? What would you change if you could do this again?

The class is also expected to volunteer critical feedback (pro’s and con’s) about fellow classmates’ projects, as well as, offer alternative ways in which the project could have been addressed. BE CRITICAL! Your feedback is for the benefit of the entire class.
